About Chalet Crechoua
Chalet Crechoua is a new five-bedroom, five-bathroom chalet for 14 people (ten adults max). Close to the pistes, the ski bus and the village, it has already proved very popular with OVO Network guests
Designed with great holidays in mind, this is the first OVO Network 4 star property in La Giettaz, and is ideal for two or three families or a group of friends. You'll love the panoramic views, being just 300m from the ski bus stop and just 3km on skis from the liaison to Megeve. You have a choice of two ski passes - Les Portes du Mont Blanc, or the more extensive Evasion Mont Blanc. For even more variety, it's just a 14km drive to the ski fields of La Clusaz.
Whether you decide to visit in winter or in summer, you will never be short of something to do. Winter sports such as skiing, boarding and snow biking are always popular and in summer, the mountains are a magnet for bikers, walkers and paragliders. You can also try summer luge, climbing, or just take the lift up the mountains and enjoy the view over a picnic.

The property
With two living rooms, three terraces and a bar, there is plenty of room at Chalet Crechoua for 14 guests of all ages. Summer or winter, it's a great place to get together with friends or family and enjoy the mountains in each other's company.
There's a cosy fireplace and sofas in the main living room for the winter, and the fabulous terraces, complete with sun beds, a dining table and barbecue for long summer evenings. And whenever you choose to visit, the hot tub is sure to be a firm favourite with everyone. You will also enjoy the new sauna in the garden.
The fully-equipped kitchen has everything you need to cook for a crowd, and there is plenty of room for you all to eat in the dining area or outside on the terrace, overlooking the mountains. The choice is yours.
The kit room has a boot warmer as well as plenty of room for all your outdoor gear. Guest will appreciate the new and secure bike storage that includes an electric bike charger.
The lower ground floor has two bedrooms, an open plan living room and a bar, as well as a separate bathroom, making it perfect for a group who would like their own space.
There's another double bedroom with an en suite bathroom on the ground floor, and on the upper floor there's a spacious family suite with a double bed and two singles, a seating area and a dressing room. This room has its own access to the main bathroom, with a shower and corner spa bath, and there's a separate toilet. The final room is a kids' dormitory with four single bunk beds.
There are also three covered parking spaces to save you having to clear snow from your car in the winter and to keep it cool in the summer.
About the area
Chalet Crechoua is in an amazing location, with splendid views over the Aravis mountains.
The link from Le Plan to the ski areas of Combloux and Megève means skiers have lots of choice - more than 100km of pistes in the Portes du Mont Blanc area, and stil more in the larger Evasion Mont Blanc area, which covers Megève, St-Gervais, Saint- Nicolas de Veroce and Les Contamines. If you're still looking for more, you're just a short drive from the La Clusaz ski area, which has more than 200km of pistes.
There's just as much to do in the summer - choose from walking, climbing, mountain-biking, summer luge, picnics, or just enjoy the 360-degree views from the top of some of the ski lifts. The Col des Aravis, a familiar scene in the Tour de France, is also nearby.
The medieval town of Annecy is just 45km away - close enough for a day trip. Explore the narrow streets and canalside restaurants or enjoy a day on one of the lakeside beaches.

Skiers can choose to explore either Les Portes du Mont-Blanc, the domain Evasion Mont-Blanc or even L’Espace Diamant, offering something for all the family.
In the summer there are great mountain bike trails and walking routes, with a wealth of flora and fauna, plus a via ferrata.

The OVO Network Review
Chalet Crechoua is a brand new 5 bedroom, 5 bathroom chalet for 14, spread over 3 floors and approximately 250m2 of floor space. And it is the first OVO Network chalet in La Giettaz.
It's in an amazing location, with splendid views, and has lots for room for two or three families or group of friends.
There are two lounge spaces with a bar, a dance floor, and that winter Alpine chalet essential, a fireplace to gather around. The open plan kitchen area has extra seating, and there is a large dining area adjacent to the kitchen. Plus a kit room with boot warmers.
There's an extra shower room just off the terrace leading off to the exterior jacuzzi and an independent wc on each floor.
Out of doors there is plenty of room for everyone to enjoy a meal, an outdoor lounge area, a huge terrace, and several balconies, plus covered parking.

“Imagine spending your next mountain holiday in an exceptional chalet, at the foot of the Aravis mountains in La Giettaz, a Savoyard village full of charm on the Route des Grandes Alpes.
You will be ideally located just two hours from Lyon or Geneva, 20 minutes from Megeve and 15 minutes from La Clusaz, You're just a few steps from the famous Col des Aravis, which is familiar with cyclists on the Tour de France. You will also be 3km from one of the Portes du Mont Blanc - a ski field with 90km of pistes linking La Giettaz, Combloux and Megeve (the Jaillet section).
Chalet Crechoua
After several years of serious thought, this project started in 2016, continuing the history of the village's Marin-Cudraz family.
Combining traditional methods of wooden chalet construction with modern building standards, we also respected the environment. The wood came from Savoy and the facing stones were found and cut on site during the groundwork, with local labour guaranteeing a "Made in La Giettaz" label.
In addition, an underground tank collects rainwater, reducing water consumption for sanitary purposes.
The south-facing chalet offers a panoramic view and an idyllic setting which is a harmonious blend of pine forest and mountains, where the air is so much better than in some of the valleys. it also enjoys constant sunshine and an exceptional quality of light.
Well-being space
The chalet has a floorspace of 250m2 over three floors. There is plenty of room for up to 14 people to enjoy their stay, with three terraces from which to enjoy the stunning views and a spa area where you can recharge your batteries after a day skiing, biking or hiking - the outside jacuzzi has views of Etale.
A selection of teas are available as well as a stone bar.
